Kevin Ashby, MD, has been a board-certified and fellowship-trained gastroenterology physician since 1993. He currently serves patients at his practice in Irvine and Foothill Ranch, California.
Dr. Ashby earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, where he was one of only fifty students accepted into the Inteflex accelerated medical program. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of California San Diego Medical Center, where he received the Chief Medical Resident's Award for teaching. Dr. Ashby then pursued a gastroenterology fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He served as a clinical instructor at both the University of California San Diego and the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Ashby is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association, and he has achieved the prestigious designation of fellow in both societies. He has lectured nationally and has had numerous research studies published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
A Chicago native, Dr. Ashby enjoys bicycling and listening to jazz, and he is passionate about volunteering for various charities, such as Free Wheelchair Mission.
